Whip yourself up a Sweet & Sour Lamp Shade made from a collection of old wooden chopsticks.

Materials Required

Fine bendable wire
Paint
Old lampshade frame
Existing light fixture or lamp base
Chopsticks (recycled/washed)

Tools Required

  • Pliers
  • Drill press
  • Small paintbrush

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Strip back your old lampshade frame. When this has been done, paint your wire frame.
  2. Drill holes in the tops of your chopsticks. Make sure that the holes you drill are big enough to fit the fine bendable wire through.
  3. Thread a chopstick onto the wire and then loop it tightly around the lamp frame. Repeat this process all the way around until complete. When you come to the end, secure the wire by twisting tightly.
  4. Attach your new, hand-made frame to your existing light base or lamp.
